Rock Art, Hail, Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is apparently rich in rock carvings, I will post some more beautiful ones later. I would love to take a trip and see them for myself.

    We have similar pictographs in the American southwest, mostly from prior to the settlements begun in the 16th c. by the Spaniards. I love the flattened perspective here, with the horses on top and bottom, instead of side by side, and a carriage behind.
